NAAC Connections Sign-Up Instructions

Cleveland, Ohio -- The National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) has announced the launch of "NAAC Connections", presented and developed in a partnership with ACS Athletics. This new interactive Web site, available exclusively to NAAC members, will provide compliance professionals around the country a vehicle to discuss legislative proposals and current compliance topics, provide a platform for sharing best practices, and facilitate the communication of association business. Eventually, the site will offer real-time answers to many compliance questions.

"The creation of NAAC Connections provides a versatile web-based format that enables compliance administrators to share expertise and best practices," states Judy Van Horn, associate athletic director at the University of Michigan and NAAC president. "The compliance landscape is increasingly complex, and we want to do all we can to help our members be successful."

The NAAC Committees recently met in Dallas, during the NAAC Convention, and discussed the effectiveness of a message board/blog Web site that would be beneficial in this fast-paced athletics environment to connect its membership. The essential membership needs identified included the ability to engage in a national dialogue, disseminate information and receive instantaneous feedback. These needs confirmed the importance of this technological solution. The NAAC Board of Directors made this electronic forum "NAAC Connections" a priority.

Of paramount importance to the NAAC Board was the fact that "NAAC Connections" would be a "one-stop shop" for compliance administrators. The Web site will host forums, provide educational materials, and be a place where questions regarding a situation can be asked of all members and will be updated on a regular basis. In addition, special user groups, such as Division II compliance administrators or NAAC committees can utilize "NAAC Connections" for facilitating targeted communication. E-mails will not clog up your mailboxes - this is a Web site that you will sign-in to receive messages and information. Consequently, from this point forward, the NAAC listserv will no longer be available.

Compliance administrators from around the country and in all divisions are invited to become members and access the Web site by clicking on the following link
http://naac.acsathletics.com or by going to the NAAC Web site (www.naaccompliance.com). Please use your first and last name as your display name when you register.
